  Store Manager

JOB TITLE:  STORE MANAGER

AS A MUTTS & CO. STORE MANAGER YOU WILL:

As the most senior member of the store team, the Store Manager will manage a full staff of store personnel in achieving sales, service, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals for the store. Operating in line with company vision and values, the Store Manager develops and executes short and long term plans to achieve goals in support of the company strategy. The Store Manager accomplishes this through management of and delegation to skilled Area Managers and team members.

  • Manage and oversee all in-store operations to achieve sales, service, organization, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals for the store.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff, customers, partners, and HQ
  • Ensure store compliance and personal follow through of all Mutts & Co. policies and procedures.
  • You are always actively identifying, recruiting, hiring, and training to ensure retention of a diverse, talented, qualified and smart group of people and pet loving team members.
  • Drive store success, working with the store leadership team to ensure that all sales, department, and overarching store goals and performance indicators are met and exceeded.

  • Define and communicate new strategies for sales and profit growth within the store team, and then put them into place, monitoring and reporting on effectiveness.

  • Oversee, special orders and merchandise returns, transfers, and shipments.
  • Take personal responsibility for store profitability, financial budgeting, managing labor costs, and overall store level expenses to meet store performance goals and budgets.
  Assistant Manager

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT MANAGER

AS A MUTTS & CO. ASSISTANT MANAGER YOU WILL:

 

  • Lead from the front by personally engaging with customers to demonstrate benchmark levels of customer experience and sales conversion rates.
  • Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, retaining and training a diverse, talented and passionate group of pet loving sales team members.
  • Coach and assist a talented sales team to achieve new personal bests in customer experience and sales conversion rates through product training and education.
  • Perform assigned operation procedures including special orders, reporting, scheduling, etc.
  • Lead the sales team training and development in the areas of customer experience and product knowledge.
  • Leader in implementing product placement, visual merchandising and product presentation standards and engaging all team members in the responsibility to maintain standards.
  • Monitor and resolve customer experience and customer service related concerns including all special order status and manage customer communications accordingly.
  • Support the Store Manager by coaching store associates to consistently provide exceptional performance and customer service; address performance issues.

  Assistant Inventory Manager

JOB TITLE:  INVENTORY ASSISTANT

 

ABOUT YOU: You are an incredibly detail-oriented person. You appreciate order and ticking off items on a list. You are able to identify issues/discrepancies and determine proper course of action to remedy them.

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
  • You have a basic understanding of excel and Microsoft word.
  • You are comfortable working in a POS system and have a general understanding of inventory product hierarchies.
  • You are fast-paced and able to multi-task.

 

AS A MUTTS & CO. INVENTORY ASSISTANT YOU WILL:

As the person who will become the most knowledgeable regarding all things inventory in our company, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage all inventory invoices and purchase orders, ensuring items are received in according to company schedules, etc.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff, customers, partners, and HQ
  • Manage new item setup in backend inventory system.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order follow-ups, mis-ships, shortages, returns, etc.
  • Process inventory transfers from the company warehouse to stores. This could include ticketing product and packing boxes for delivery.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained every day, in every way.
  • Manage markdowns in backend inventory system, including communication to stores.
  • Manage discontinued items in backend inventory system, including communications to stores.
  • Manage product ticket distribution to stores.
  • Manage communication and ticket distribution for pricing updates, etc.
  • Keep product in warehouse organized and labeled.
  • May also be asked to make product updates in online store.
  • Perform inventory counts in stores if needed to correct data integrity issues.
